Adaptive

Children 12-18 months generally are able to do the following:

  • Begin to put self to sleep during nap or bedtime
  • Maneuvers arm, foot or leg through a sleeve when adult holds item of clothing open 
  • Shows caution or refers to caregiver in new situations (e.g., hiding behind caregivers legs)
  • Participates during gentle face and hand washing
