Children 12-18 months generally are able to do the following:
- May begin to say numbers and imitate counting
- Imitates sequence of actions (e.g., two claps, sequence of sounds)
- Experiments with size (e.g., puts on big shoes, fills and overfills containers)
- Experiments with spatial relationships (e.g., crawls under things, climbs up over/into/around, in and out play)
- Explores purposefully and interested in what things can do and how to make them do it
