Adaptive
Children 19-24 months generally are able to do the following:
- Puts shoes on with help
- Opens doors by pulling on a door handle
- Starts to drink from an open cup with some spilling
- Pierces food with fork
- Brushes teeth with help
- Follows simple safety directives (e.g., “no”, ‘stop”)
- Eats a variety of different textured foods
- Participates in bed time, nap, and toileting routines
- Delights in taking clothing off at appropriate or inappropriate times
