Gross / Large Motor
Children 3-8 months generally are able to do the following:
Gross Motor:
- Pushes up on extended arms while on stomach
- Supports own head while being assisted into sitting position without head lag
- Sits with support
- Pushes down on legs when feet are placed on firm surfaces
- Rolls purposely from back to stomach and stomach to back (e.g., towards a toy or caregiver)
- Plays by grabbing own feet
