Literacy

Children 3-8 months generally are able to do the following:

• Explores with hands and mouth
• Shows enjoyment of adult attention (e.g.,  reading, singing, telling stories)
• Physically interacts with books (e.g., mouthing, touching) 
• May react to a picture of a family member or pet 
• Observes pictures in books
