Literacy

Children 30-36 months generally are able to do the following:

  • Joins in songs and rhymes, filling in a missing word in a familiar song or books
  • Recognizes at least one letter in their own name
  • Verbally or nonverbally requests a familiar book to be read to them, 
  • Turns pages in a book, most children will pretend to read their favorite books on their own
