Children 30-36 months generally are able to do the following:
- Separates from caregivers in a familiar setting
- Plays next to other children and sometimes with them
- Starting to seek out preferred playmates
- Show pride in accomplishments by saying, “Look at me!”
- Recognize themselves in photographs
- Become aware of others’ feelings and respond with concern or affection
- Respond appropriately to the simple needs of others (e.g. giving a child a ball when asked)
