Children 36-42 months generally are able to do the following:

  • Begins to transition from whole arm movements to using more refined wrist and finger movements to grasp a crayon or utensil
  • Imitates lines and circles when modeled for them 
  • Learns to snip and cut forward with scissors 
  • Pours water into containers 
  • Strings large beads
  • Squeezes tongs
