Children 36-42 months generally are able to do the following:

  • Independently attends to a single self-selected activity for 10-15 minutes despite distraction and interruption
  • Sustains interest in participating in an activity with an adult, a small group, or whole group for at least 10 minutes
  • Transitions from a play choice activity to an adult choice activity independently
