Children 36-42 months generally are able to do the following:
- Verbally counts to 3 consistently
- Counts 3 or more objects
- Recognizes and name up to 3 numbers
- Identifies at least 3 colors
- Identifies basic shapes (circle, square, triangle)
- Sorts by a single characteristic (e.g. put all the red blocks together).
- Uses prepositions to describe the position of objects in space
- Makes simple comparisons between two objects
