Fine / Small Motor
Children 42-48 months generally are able to do the following:
- Transitions from whole arm movements to using more refined wrist and finger movements to grasp a crayon or utensil.
- Imitates lines and circles with a writing tool when modeled by an adult
- Snips and cuts forward on a line with scissors
- Pours water into containers
- Strings large beads
- Sews lacing cards
- Squeezes tongs
