Children 42-48 months generally are able to do the following:

  • Asks other children to joins them in play
  • Cooperates and shares with adult support
  • Like to be silly and make others laugh 
  • Demonstrates concern about the feelings of others 
  • When sad, will seek out a special object or person 
  • Calms down within 10 minutes after leaving a caregiver (e.g., childcare drop off) 
  • Accepts redirection from adults
