Math

Children 48-60 months generally are able to do the following:

  • Sorts by attribute and indicate the reason (these buttons are red)
  • Uses and responds appropriately to positional words indicating location, direction, and distance
  • Relates time to daily routines and schedule
  • Knows a few ordinal numbers (first, last, etc.)
  • Uses the same unit repeatedly to  measure and has knowledge of standard measurement tools
  • Counts to 20 or more
  • Continues counting from a number between 2-10 
  • Counts 10- 20 objects 
  • Recognize and name up to 10 numbers
  • Show awareness of measurement
  • Recognizes what does not belong
