Children 48-60 months generally are able to do the following:
- Starts to show the ability to take turns and wait without support from an adult
- Talks about having friends and includes peers in play schemes
- Stars to manage their impulses and delay gratification
- Changes their behavior based on the environment (e.g., library versus playground)
- Comforts others who are hurt or sad and like to help
- Thinks through a problem to find a solution, understand right from wrong, and play cooperatively with other children
