Fine / Small Motor
Children 5-6 years old generally are able to do the following:
- Holds a utensil with a tripod (3 finger) grasp
- Copies basic shapes such as a square and a triangle and color within the lines
- Writes their first name in uppercase letters and are beginning to write it in lower case in correct sequence, form, and orientation
- Cuts on a line and cut basic shapes such as a square, triangle, or rectangle
- Draws a person with at least 10 body parts
- Completes a 20 piece puzzle
