Registration Office Location: 410 North Main Street, Verona, WI 53593 (Enter through Door 5 of Badger Ridge Middle School)
The process can be completed online, or you may meet with the Registrars in person for assistance.
Step 1 - New Student District Registration
To prepare - please have the following information available when you are ready to complete the New Student Registration Form: Starting Monday, February 2, 2026 please visit (https://www.verona.k12.wi.us/registration/pre-k-registration) to set up a PowerSchool Enrollment account and provide the following information:
Families must provide proof of residency (address) within the District, which may be established by submitting either one document from Category A or two documents from Category B, as outlined below.
Information that will be required at the time of registration:
Category A (Need 1 Item)
- Current/signed Lease Agreement (Must include name, address, start/end date of the lease, list of occupants, and all party's signatures. Those who submit leases that end before the school year begins will be asked to submit a new lease at the end of their current lease.)
- Homeowner's insurance declaration page (Parent/guardian name and address)
- Verification of housing from a government source (e.g: Section 8, WHEDA)
- A Birth to 3 Referral Notice (Received from County Government)
- Current Mortgage Statement (Must include name and address)
- Closing Statement or Offer to Purchase* (Must include name, address, closing date, and all signatures.)
- Building Contract & Permit* (Must include name, address, estimated date of completion, and all signatures.)
- Recent Property Tax Bill (Must include name and address)
OR
Category B (need 2 items)
- State/Federal Issued ID
- Electric Bill*
- Gas Bill*
- Water/Sewer Bill
- Paycheck Stub*
- Current renter’s or homeowner's insurance statement
- Internet Bill*
- Cell Phone Bill*
- Vehicle Registration
- Auto Insurance Bill
- Correspondence from State/Federal Programs (Foodshare, Medicaid, BadgerCare, W-2, SSI)*
- Postmarked mail from Medical Clinic*
All Category B items must be active/unexpired, include the parent/guardian name, and include address.
*Certain documents must be dated within the past 30 days and include both name and address.

Proof of Age/Name
Verification of your child's name and age is required. This can be done by submitting a copy of one of the following documents:
- Student's Immunization Record
- Student's Passport
- Student's Driver's License or State ID
If your student is transferring from another Wisconsin public school, our registration office can verify this information via the WISE database.
Alternatively, you may contact our registration office to schedule a time for them to view a Birth Certificate**.
**Wisconsin law strictly prohibits copying Birth Certificate (BC) as it is considered a vital record. If you only have a Birth Certificate as proof of name/age or you do not have any proof of name/age documents available, please contact our office at 608-845-4360 to arrange an alternative way to retrieve proof of name and age.

Step 2 - Pre-K/4K Enrollment
Families will receive an email within 2 weeks after completing Step 1 to gather more information about Pre-K/4K site preferences, transportation, and if your child needs extended care during the day at an additional cost.
Step 3 - Welcome to Pre-K/4K
Pre-K/4K staff will work on placing your child at a Pre-K/4K site based on the information you provided in Step 2. In June, your family will be notified which site and session your child will be attending, and you will begin to receive communication from the site regarding next steps to prepare for the school year. In late August, you will be notified regarding your child’s bus information.
